DONATION FORM

Dear CEPAD-USA Supporter,

On behalf of the CEPAD-USA Board of Directors, it is with great sadness that I must
inform you that the government of Nicaragua has suddenly closed CEPAD in
Nicaragua. The government announced on Monday, August 19 that the legal status of
1500 NGOs was being revoked. CEPAD was among these organizations. The
government has frozen the CEPAD bank account in Nicaragua and may seize their
property. We have suspended the transfer of all funds from CEPAD-USA until further
notice.
The future is uncertain right now. The details of exactly how, when, or even if CEPAD
will continue to serve the people in rural villages with the important training and
support they have provided for over 50 years is unknown today. There are some
hopes that CEPAD can reorganize into a new legal entity and continue its work.
The CEPAD-USA Board of Directors is committed to supporting the efforts of our
Nicaraguan friends as they work to find a way to continue serving. We ask that you
temporarily pause your donations. When we have a clear path forward, your future
donations will be more important than ever.

Thank you in advance for your prayers and your patience.
